2 Tracks 2 Kinds of Racing

Pahrump is a unique town in many ways. It’s small but has a lot to offer. One popular activity here is auto racing. We have two premier tracks but each provides a completely different kind of venue. You can take your pick of the style of racing that appeals to you and come have some fun at either track.

Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club

If you’re looking for the usual kind of country club with golf and tennis, then Spring Mountain is not it. This facility is anything but normal. Located on the south end of town, this Country Club offers a paved race track and caters to sports car enthusiasts, specifically Corvettes and Wolf Race Cars.

It is the official high performance driving school of corvettes. If you have recently purchased a corvette, you are invited to attend the driving school at a discount and learn everything there is to know about your new vehicle. If you don’t own a corvette, you can still learn valuable skills by attending this unique driving school at full price.

Although memberships are available to those wishing full access to the amenities offered, the facility is available for rent to nonmembers as well. Within its property it has 6.1 miles of road course that can be sectioned off for different lengths of track. It is the largest road course in North America. It also has an 8,000 square foot clubhouse which offers meals to those attending classes or events.

The club includes Lake Spring Mountain with water sport toys for rent. They have jetpacks, kayaks, paddle boards, and pedal boats to name a few. In the summer, day passes can be purchased on weekends for some family fun. The Tiki bar on the shore of the lake offers soft drinks and cocktails to those enjoying a day in the sun.

Pahrump Valley Speedway

300 N. Panorama Road, Pahrump, NV 89060

If you’re more into dirt track racing, you need to go to the north end of town and visit Pahrump Valley Speedway. It’s located to the east of Highway 160 on Panorama Road. This course is a quarter mile, oval, high banked track made with a clay base. It’s one of only about 700 left in the country. When the speedway opened about 30 years ago, races included Street Stock and Late Model Classes. Over the years it has expanded to include Bomber, Dwarf, Mini Dwarfs, Modified, Mini Modified, Mini Stock, Super Stock, Hobby Stock, Coupe, and Sports Mods. Anyone over the age of 14 can drive as long as they have their own car. It’s a casual, relaxed atmosphere. If you don’t want to sit in the bleachers, fans are invited to bring their own lawn chairs, or back their car up to the designated viewing area and encourage their favorite drivers along. Food and beverages are available for sale at the facility.
